We have been working on ways we can change our daily practices to help our environment. Taking steps towards sustainability and treading more lightly on the plant is something we really value. Here are the top 5 ways DAILY helping the environment.

Reusable Bags
With our Woolworths and other online orders, we say “no thanks” to plastic bags. For an extra $2 we used the crate to bench service with Woolies meaning that our orders gets directly put into crates and then they unpack it on arrival!
Print as Little as Necessary
We have recently gone even more paperless than we ever have before. Educators sign in online, we now have electronic checklists, and laminated checklists. Using a new APP we are also eliminating our monthly audits being printed as of October!
Save Water
We have a rainwater tank that we use to water the garden and for water play. We are hoping to educate the children around water usage more this Spring and Summer. If there is no water in the tank then we wont be able to have water play. Monitoring our water usage is also important. We will now avoid watering the plants in peak transpiration times. Drip irrigation is also being investigated for future use.

Lessening our Chemical exposure
This one is not just good for the environment but also US! We have decided to permanently adopt and expand our “low chemical” philosophy. DIY nappy wipes are here to stay, our hand soap, dishwashing liquid and laundry powder are all now eco-friendly. As well as our cleaning products and all cleaning sprays!! We are also loving our oil diffusers..!
