Mayfield Early Learning Centre (MELC) is a private, family-owned and operated Centre, awarded Exceeding by NQF. We are a 39-place centre catering for babies through to school age. We believe connection is the key to authentic learning and endeavour to create pockets of empowerment and mindfulness by honouring children’s innate creativity and curiosity.

Job description

Our aim at MELC is to provide high-quality education and care supported by safe, welcoming, and nurturing environments following best practice guidelines.

We are currently seeking passionate and enthusiastic educators to join our team. We welcome Certificate III, Diploma and ECT applicants.

The role involves:

  • Working as part of a team of educators to achieve excellence and maintain strong professional relationships with one another

  • Assist your team to deliver a high-quality cycle of planning, curriculum and outcomes for each child in your room

  • Ensure that all documentation, of children’s learning, is visible and accessible to families and contains high-quality information to meet regulatory requirements

  • Maintain positive working relationships with all team members through creating a friendly, secure and stimulating interactive learning environment

  • Ensure a high level of health & safety standards are maintained at all times

  • Flexible and reliable

  • Focused on positive child, family and community relationships

  • Able to work collaboratively within a team of highly experienced educators

  • Experienced within an Early Childhood setting
